        Physical Rehabilitation

Canine and feline physical rehabilitation, is much like physical therapy for humans. We adapt human physical therapy techniques to increase function and mobility, reduce pain, speed recovery from injury or surgery, and increase the quality of life. As in humans, canine and feline physical rehabilitation is used to treat a wide variety of orthopedic and neurological conditions. Whether your dog or cat is recovering from an injury, cross training, or facing mobility issues, they can benefit from our comprehensive and cutting-edge care.

We are delighted to offer the high-quality expertise of the skilled rehabilitation team to patients and their families.? Amy Straut, DVM, Certified Canine Rehabilitation Therapist (CCRT) and Jennifer Palmer, DVM, CCRT lead our Physical Rehabilitation team. Services are located at our MSPCA-Angell West location at 293 Second Avenue in Waltham. Our renovated, spacious facility adjoins our MSPCA-Angell West hospital and features two AquaPaws treadmills as well as a pool with massage and resistance jets.
